Caymanian sprinter Jaiden Reid claimed bronze on Wednesday, 29 March, during the Class One 100-metre finals at the Champs 2023 held in Kingston, Jamaica.
Reid, who attends Jamaica College, ran 10.26 seconds for a new personal best time, good enough for third behind Bouwahjgie Nkrumie and Deandre Daley.
His time also set a new Cayman under-20 national record.
“From seventh last year to third this year; couldn’t be more grateful,” Reid wrote on his Instagram page.
Reid, who ran for Mustang Track Club in Grand Cayman, will be attending the CARIFTA Games in Nassau, Bahamas next month as the number 3 ranked U20 sprinter in the world.
