Minister for Youth & Sports, Hon. Bernie Bush attended and gave remarks at the CI Youth National Sailing Championships on Saturday, 10, and Sunday, 11 Dec.
Hosted by the Cayman Islands Sailing Club and the National Sailing Center, the annual two-day event saw sailors aged up to 18 compete for trophies.
Thirty-seven participants competed in four boat classes: Optimist Green, Optimist Advanced, ICLA Lasers, and Hartleys (for double-handed sailing). Seen here: Zyaden Doctor (first winner of the Optimist Green fleet), and Stella Dean and Molly De Saram, winners of the Hartley 12 double-handed fleet.
They were 2021’s defending champions.
