Sports minister welcome home Cayman athletes from Caribbean Games

Minster for Youth & Sports, Hon. Bernie Bush met Team Cayman athletes at the Owen Roberts International Airport on Tuesday (July 5) following their success at the Caribbean Games in Gaudeloupe.

Missing from the picture: swimmers Alison Jackson (gold – mixed 4x100m free relay), Kyra Rabess (silver – 800m Women’s freestyle/gold – mixed 4x100m free relay) and cyclists Victor Magalhaes and Nathaniel Forbes.

“Thank you all for the effort that you gave, your good attitude and how you represented the country,” Bush said to the athletes at the ORIA. “These are the two sports (track and swimming) that I see going some places and there is a lot more resources coming behind you guys. Thank you all very much.”
