Squash: Tough outing for Cayman at Junior PanAms

The Cayman Islands national squash team struggled to find their winning ways during the 2021 Junior Pan American Games in Cali, Colombia.

Emma Turnbull, Jade Pitcairn and Kali Maclean hit the courts, losing all their matches except one. The team placed seventh overall after, losing to Mexico 3-0, losing to Guatemala 2-1, and winning 3-0 against El Salvador.

Pitcairn, 19, who earned a bronze medal at the 2019 CAC Games lost her individual match 3-0 against the United States.

That was followed by another defeat for Cayman’s Turnbull, 20, who was unsuccessful in her individual match against Mexico, which ended 3-0.

Both Pitcairn and Turnbull partnered up for a doubles match against the competition’s host. However, that match also ended in a 2-0 defeat for Cayman.
