Caymanian swimmers Alison and Sarah Jackson opened their 2021/22 swim season for the University Northern Colorado (UNC) this past weekend at the CMU Intermountain Shootout.
Sarah, 20, competed in three events throughout the two day swimming and diving meet, while Alison, 19, swam in four events; securing gold medals in two separate relays.
Alison, who competed at the ISCA Senior Cup over the summer took first along with teammates Katelyn Bergin, Madelyn Moore and Payten Irwin clocked in at .11 seconds during the 200 fee relay ahead of in-state rival Colorado State with a time of 1:35.79.
“Our girls proved to be very tough racers,” UNC head coach Lisa Ebeling said after the meet. “They are hungry to succeed and I’m excited to work on details with them to keep our program moving to the next level.”
Both Sarah and Alison are expected to hit the pool Saturday, 9 Oct., in New Mexico for a duel.
