The Cayman Islands Volleyball Federation corporate 2021 beach league wrapped up on Sunday (August 22) at Seven Mile Public Beach with Catalyst claiming the league trophy.
“Congratulations to our Corporate Beach League winner, Catalyst,” CIVF wrote on their social media. “Thank you to all of the teams who participated this year.”
Catalyst went undefeated throughout the six week competition; topping it off on the final day with two wins over Maples Finance in a best-of-three series. Maples finished in second place.
PwC 1 took third out of eight teams despite having more junior players than any other squad- showcasing that age does not determine your skill level. PwC was also the only company that entered two teams into the league, with their second team finishing seventh overall.
According to CIVF president Kennedy McGowan, a six-week winter beach volleyball competition is expected to serve off in the coming months.
