The Cayman Islands senior women’s national football team defeated Bahamas 4-0 Thursday (July 29) afternoon to open a friendly international football tournament in Turks and Caicos Islands.
Cayman dominated the match held at the TCIFA National Academy from start to finish with two goals registering in both the first and second half.
Seasoned striker for Scholars International Suzani Lucas, waste little time to put Cayman ahead, scoring a goal against the Bahamians 18 minutes into the match.
Teammate and top striker for Sunset FC Molly Kehoe, made the score 2-0 after finding the back of the net in the 45th minute to close the first half.

In the second half, Cayman’s offense proved to be too much for the Bahamian ladies, with Serena Nelson moving up field late in the game and capitalising in the 77th minute.
However, Cayman wasn’t done there; seconds after, it was Kehoe again, who netted her second in the 77th to end the game 4-0.
Cayman will face the US Virgin Islands next in the tournament on August 1st.
