Latinos Football Club netted three goals against Bodden Town Wednesday night to continue their reign as Cayman Islands Football Association President’s Cup champions.
It marked their first defence since winning the tournament last season against Scholars ISC in the finals.
The game commenced at the Annex Stadium with over 200 fans in attendance. Latinos’ Raul Rodriguez opened with a goal 12 minutes in, which he followed with another in the 24th to finish out the first half two nil.
The second half proved to be more competitive, with each team holding up their backlines. Thats until, Jose Melendez scored the final goal of the game in the 61st minute to help continue Latinos’ reign.
The clubs will now focus on the FA Cup scheduled to take place throughout the spring of 2021.
