Friendly competition between boys and men for the 2nd Annual Basketball Extravaganza wrapped up Saturday (28 November) evening at the ARK in Camana Bay.
While the event featured several different competitions, it also honoured Men’s International Day; bringing awareness to men’s metal health as well as building camaraderie with teammates.
“This year was a big turn out,” said Cayman Islands National coach Ed Pellot-Rosa. “This is just another opportunity for men and boys to compete together in the same atmosphere, gaining trust between each other, being positive role models and leading by example.”
Games featured teams of three competing for $1,000 in prizes. CBL’s team that included Kwei General, Devonte Wright, Andre Wright and Caleb Windspear won the 3 on 3 traditional event.
“We I did a junior division this year and we had seven teams that showed up for the junior event and eight teams that competed for the thousand dollars in the senior division,” said Pellot-Rosa.
