Director of sports position remains vacant

The search to find a new director of sports for the Cayman Islands continues.

The position became vacant almost one year ago, following the decision of former sports director Collin Anglin, who retired after serving for nearly 12 years.

In February this year, Anglin told Cayman Compass the decision to retire was made so that he could spend time with his three children. “Any time that I lose with my kids, I can’t get it back.”

However, with less than three month to go since Anglin publicly spoke on his retirement, the Government’s search seems to catch the attention of no one.

On Wednesday, (4 November) Anglin confirmed the position “remains vacant” and believes the role will be re-advertise in the near future.
