Cayman Brac Football Club defeated Elite 3-0 Saturday (17 October) night in the Cayman Islands Football Association (CIFA) Men’s Division 1 League.
The brac boys came into the match as underdogs despite being the home team. However, it was Elite on the receiving end of Cayman Brac’s best performance this season.
The game kickoff at the Cayman Brac sports complex playing field with the home team putting the pressure on early and capitalising in 16th minute, with a goal from Akito Lewis to bring the score 1-0.
That was followed in the second half by teammate Jose Delgado in the 52nd minute and the final goal of the game coming in the 78th, courtesy Carlos Hunt.
Following their win, Cayman Brac is currently 2-2 in the season; sitting at 4th on the league table while Elite has only played two games winning their first and of course losing to Cayman Brac.
