
Cayman’s national golfer Aaron Jarvis, 17, took first place in the boys division at 6-under 207 including 11 birdies during the South Florida Junior Open on Friday (17 July). Jarvis shot 71 in the third round to finish with 9 shots over second place Sebastian Nachilly at the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club.
“The first two days my ball-striking was good and today it was my putting,” said Jarvis.
Jarvis also competed earlier in the month at the 42nd Junior North & South Amateur Championship at Pinehurst, North Carolina where he finished tied for 11th place in the boys division.
